Anushka Sharma
Taani of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
About Anushka Sharma
Anushka Sharma starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Aditya Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (12 December 2008), as the vivacious Taani who marries the quiet Surinder Sahni (Yash Raj Films).
On screen
In Maneesh Sharma’s Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) she is Shruti, a no-nonsense Delhi student who goes into the wedding business with Ranveer Singh’s Bittoo. She is Ishika Desai in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011), and starred in Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), Sultan (2016), Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017) and Zero (2018).
Our advice: Band Baaja Baaraat is the most fun, and the best introduction to a big Indian wedding.
In Band Baaja Baaraat the rule is clear: don’t mix business with pleasure.
