Silsila and Koi… Mil Gaya

About Rekha

Rekha is Chandni in Yash Chopra’s Silsila (14 August 1981) and Maya in his Faasle (1985), and, two decades later, Sonia, the mother of Hrithik Roshan’s Rohit, in Koi… Mil Gaya (2003); she returns in its sequel, Krrish (Yash Raj Films).

On screen

She starred in Shyam Benegal’s Zubeidaa (2001), the story of a young man piecing together the life of the mother he never knew, and in Umesh Mehra’s Jaal (1986) and Qila (1998), both now in the Red Chillies catalogue.

Our advice: watch Silsila for one of Yash Chopra’s great love stories.

Silsila’s soundtrack is by Shiv–Hari.
